In this lesson, students take exploratory walks outside around their school campus to see and feel the signs of the season. In this interactive lesson, students rotate to different sports activity stations to determine if a push or a pull or both are being used for that sport. Students record their observations by writing a simple phrase to explain the push or pull force they used. At the end of the rotations, students compile their data onto a class tally graph. That is a number system that is represented by 0 and 1. Students will learn that this differs from the number system we use everyday, the decimal system (0-9).
