Students will read about how these animals adapt to challenges in their habitat. After multiple reads and activities surrounding the text, students will use the vocabulary and text evidence to complete a three column note sheet. Using website Quizlet students will create electronic flashcards using information from a three column note sheet. Students will share their electronic flashcards with a classmate to review terminology prior to completing a Google Form vocabulary quiz.

Henderson County Building Next Steps Remix #GoOpenNC
In this lesson, students research various local volunteer organizations and use technology to explore and promote these organizations.
In this comprehensive lesson, students work collaboratively to learn about the eight planets. They will research a planet's size, its comparison to other planets and its characteristics and use the information they find to publish an acrostic poem to share with their classmates. They will also produce a poster and create a technology presentation such as a Prezi or a PowerPoint.
Students use provided weblinks to learn some facts about internet and cyber safety. Once they have researched they use the inforation collected to creat a poster for the classroom or media center that would be a guide for other students.
Students will learn the fundamental concepts and terminology of software application development and develop skills in designing and writing simple computer programs. The course provides an overview of the software development process in addition to introducing important programming constructs and methodologies. The course covers such topics as programming language characteristics, integrated development environments, flowcharts, algorithms, variables, operators, conditional statements, looping statements, procedures, error-handling and debugging, object-oriented programming techniques, user interface design, and software modeling.
