The purpose of this task is to provide students with a concrete experience they can relate to fraction multiplication. Perhaps more importantly, the task also purposefully relates length and locations of points on a number line, a common trouble spot for students. Fraction Fling is an educational game where kids must match fractions to a model. A model will be presented at the top of the screen and fractions will be floating in bubbles. Kids must first pop the bubble which contains the fraction and then hit the actual fraction to answer the question.
