This resource serves to introduce students to the careers of software development and computer repair. All computers operate on a binary number system. That is a number system that is represented by 0 and 1. Students will learn that this differs from the number system we use everyday, the decimal system (0-9).
In this activity, students will use colored beads representing 1's and 0's to create a key ring holder with their initials written in binary. There are printouts for students providing details of the binary number system and illustrations of the key ring they are to produce.
