Description
- Overview:
- In this investigation, students will observe, predict, make inferences, explore developing a hypothesis and manipulate variables, collect data, and practice metric measurement skills. In the first activity, students will construct a ramp and move "Granny" up and down the ramp to observe the effect of slope on force and velocity. In the second activity, students will investigate the relationship among rise, run and slope of a ramp. In the third activity, students will examine the relationships among force, mass, and acceleration. In the fourth activity, students will analyze various ramps to determine if they meet ADA guidelines and if not, they will redesign them to make them safer.
