As a Digital Learning Coach, this course did not offer much in the way of technology. There are PDFs and presentations but in the four presentations I looked through there was no technology integration that I saw.

As I was going through the standards I noticed that this entire course is not and cannot be aligned to any Biology NC standard in Science or Social Studies (psychology). The level of the topic is so high that high school does not cover it. There are also no learning objectives indicated in the resource nor are there any assessment strategies that have been indicated in the resource, so users should plan to add some type of assessment.

The unit overall is very complex and detailed. There are lots of drug references and how they affect the human body. This is high-level biology mixed with a little psychology. This would be very good for a senior who is looking into the field of pharmacology and how drugs affect the brain.

This unit is almost too high for HS. If anyone does decide to use it they will have to either leave out a lot of the higher biology or teach this in a one-year everyday course. The instruction is not aligned with NC standards, nor is the content at an appropriate level for the majority of its intended audience and it could be outdated as this course was created in 2013. I could not find any technology or design. You as the instructor simply have to download the presentations and present them as you see fit.
