    This is a great resource for real world comparison of cost and budget planning for students with special education. 

    Using money math manipulatives , students will determine their change for their purchases

    AFTER CORRECTLY DETERMINING WHICH AMOUNT THE STUDENT CAN PURCHASE WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY HE OR SHE HAS, USE  MATH MANIPULATIVES of dollars and bills F CHANGE BUYER SHOULD GET BACK.

    Students who cannot handle amounts over $1.00 will be given purchase amounts starting with change less than $1.00 and scaffolded to go as far as they are able with teacher help.  They will be given play money to use to make it more hands on.
