Webinar 3 (Remixing/Creating on the Platform- no reply necessary)

To help you practice with the tools, your Platform assignment for Webinar Three is to add content by completing ONE of the below:

 

1) Remix an existing resource by adding features aligned to the Quality Checklist. Find a resource on the platform that has the Green Remix button, press the Remix button, make changes and then hit "publish"! (One way to find remixable resources is to use Advanced Search and search by "Conditions of Use".

 

2) Share an activity that you have made that you feel meets aspects of the Quality Checklist. Click the green "Create"  at the top of your screen.Most educators will choose "Resource Builder" or "Lesson Builder". Populate your materials, click through to add background information and then you click "Submit"!

 

3) Create a template to help others author materials that align to the Quality Checklist. Click the green "Create"  at the top of your screen. Createing a template on the platform would just mean uploading a general template for other teachers to build a specific resource - like the "Text-based STEM Inquiry Template" that's on the platform.

@Jessica Barber - I had the same trouble initially. Make sure you are searching with the advanced search feature under the "Discover" tab. You can filter by remix availability. :)

I have been doing this, but still can't seem to find the "remix" button. Help please!!!!

I am struggling to find the rubrics for part 4 and 5 of our evaulations.

Hi Joanna,

I was able to remix a resource, but the only option available to me was saving it to my items, not publishing it.  Is there something that I am missing?

Used the Advanced Search to come up with Remix resources, but can't find the green remix button anywhere!  Ack. I wanted to use a 3rd grade poetry resource that came up under the Remix search, but it definitely doesn't have the green remix button as pictured above.

Here's what it looks like after I search. Looks like the conditions of use under the icon say it is remix and share, just like I searched for:

 

But then when I click on each resource,there is no green remix and share button. I have been through the first dozen that came up under the Advanced Remix and Share search and this is what they are all like. No green remix button. 

 

The only ones that actually DO have a green remix button are ones that someone else from this current academy has actually already remixed. They have a gray flag on the search page and then when you open them, they have the green remix button. 

Need help, please!

I added a resource, but not sure I did what I supposed to for the requirement. I am not really sure I understand the remix piece.

I am having so many issues trying to add one of my lessons and actvivities with the lesson builder/resource builder as well.

I was able to remix a source,  but I had difficulty adding on to the template.

I had trouble trying to find resources but I think I am able to remix the resource witht the steps that are provided.
