Avery has been saving up money so she can purchase the latest video game. The video game costs $130. To earn money, she has been babysitting her little sister, Addie. She gets paid $7 for each hour she babysits.

Part 1:  The first week, Avery babysat her sister for 9 hours. How much money has she saved the first week?

Part 2: The second week, Avery babysat her sister for 4 hours.  How much money has Avery saved both weeks combined?

Part 3:  Avery’s grandmother sent her $25 for her birthday. About how much more money does Avery need to save in order to buy the video game?  Write a sentence to explain how you know.

Extension: How many hours does Avery need to babysit to have exactly enough money to buy the game?
