I am a 4th grade math, science, and S.S. teacher. I love that this resource highlights a strategy called, "My Favorite No" (there's a video to explain it!)

*Alignment to NC Math Standards: Full alignment to the depth and breadth of the standard tagged.

* Evidence of Learning Objectives: This resource has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. (Adding multi-digit numbers w/standard algorithm.)

* Evidence of Assessment Strategies: This resource has clear and sufficient assessment strategies that will accurately measure student progress and mastery of the specified standard.

*Strengths: (1) This resource has accessibility in that that students have the freedom to choose the number they want to add as they are able to select any 4 destinations. This allows for all students, regardless of their skill level with addition, to have an entry point into the task. (2) This resource exhibits exemplary adequacy in that it can easily cross over and be used while teaching the 3 NC Regions as part of a social studies lesson.

*Opportunities: (1) Students use technology to create bar graphs for the mileage as well as line plots for the time of each car ride.
