I am a 4th grade math, science, and social studies teacher. I like that this resource is a game that can easily be modified to meet the needs of all learners by changing the amount of numbers used to build numbers to compare.

* Alignment to NC Math Standards: Full alignment to depth and breadth of standard(s) tagged.

* Evidence of Learning Objectives: Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource

* Evidence of Assessment Strategies: Has clear and sufficient assessment strategies that will accurately measure student progress and mastery of the specified standard

* Strengths: (1) This resource provides a range of cognitive demands and varied ways in which learners can engage, explain and justify their thinking. (2) This resource has exemplary motivation as students are likely to want to continue playing the game as it is interesting.

* Opportunities; (1) This game can easily be modified or extended to reach a wide variety of learners by having student generate smaller or larger numbers. As well as allowing students to use base ten pieces to visually create numbers they have built as a way to help them compare and contrast numbers.
