*I am a 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade math teacher. I really enjoyed that this task gives students the opportunity to decompose quadrilaterals.
*This resource is a task partial aligned to standard C.3.G.1 by covering only the “ reason with decomposing quadrilaterals” part. This lesson should be considered as part of a unit that would also provide the students with the chance to “recognize and draw examples and non-examples of types of quadrilaterals including rhombuses, rectangles, squares, parallelograms, and trapezoids.”
*The learning objectives for this task would benefit from being clarified in order to specifically address what students should be able to do, what to do if those objectives are not met and provide suggestions for extensions.
*Few assessment strategies have been indicated in the resource, so users should plan to add some type of formative and summative assessment.
*This resource is clear and user-friendly.
*This resource would benefit from more detail and the opportunity for students to decompose different tyles of quadrilaterals.
