3 x 3 Vocabulary Language Arts Introduction

Write a sentence using all 3 words in each row.  

Then find a different classmate for each column word, and have them give you a sentence. Discuss your sentences with them to make sure they are correct.

Choose a sentence that you want to put on the board as a model for a super sentence.  (It can be yours or from someone else.)


Variation:  You could number off the students have have them work as a group. 

Students will collaborate to create vocabulary cards on which they illustrate the vocabulary word on the front of the card, define the vocabulary word and include their definition of the word on the back of the card.  Students will also create a Brain Dump that illustrate the connections between the vocabulary words.
