Remix for EWA #GoOpenNC Community Building Next Steps

#GoOpenNC has three main opportunities to interact with the resources on the platform.

Level of Engagement	What would be your vision for WHAT your educators would do in the next 6 months?	What would be your vision for WHAT your educators would do in the next 18 months?
Find/Use Existing Resources	Provided opportunities for HQ professional development on where to find OER resources.	Create an interface where teachers can share lesson topics for all teachers K-12 to view; to allow teachers to see who is working on similar or cross-curricular topics
Collect/Curate Resources and Collections	Have teachers in each department reflect on the past year and develop a list of lessons that went well and tag them with categories (Group Work, iPad, QR Codes, content-focused tags, etc.)	At least one teacher per department collecting the best resources from their departments to upload.
Create/Upload Resources	Encourage teachers to think of lessons and resources that they have developed that they would want to upload to an OER system.	At least one teacher per department creating/remixing resources from their department to upload

Participate in Professional Learning locally or statewide	Have presenter come to EWA on PD day to provide detailed information as needed	Staff led lesson and remix in departments or teams
Network and Collaborate with Other NC Educators	Explore in the platform outside of our school’s hub Reach out to other chart school teachers	Develop or join another hub/group Create a charter school interface or hub to share and evaluate lessons

#GoOpenNC has opportunities for all educators to being engaging. Consider who would be your main early engagers in the next 6 months.

As #GoOpenNC plans to be teacher-facing by August, what would be your plans for engaging your desired educators in doing the WHAT and the HOW?

TOYs	Create Resources	Using a Hub	By December	TOYs will be invited to participate, join a group that includes monthly discussion with the upload happening in December
OER Team	Create/Upload/Remix	Using a Hub	By December	OER team will invite other growth minded teachers to join in creating, uploading, and remixing resources.
Administration	Inspect/evaluate resources uploaded to the Hub	Using a Hub Develop expectations for future use of the Hub	By January	Develop implementation plan and encourage teachers to contribute and empower teachers in use of OER resources.
