1) Engaging with Resources - The WHAT:
#GoOpenNC has three main opportunities to interact with the resources on the platform.

Find/Use Existing Resources | In collaboration with other consultants, a plan would be to upload existing resources and in October and beyond, to introduce this into our existing trainings to teachers. | |
Collect/Curate Resources and Collections | As a DPI Consultant for Autism, I will consult with other DPI consultants such as the Consultant for Significant Cognitive Disabilities to formulate a plan to use the platform to collect, curate as well as upload resource for Extended Content Standards (ECS) teachers. | |
Create/Upload Resources | The vision would be for ECS teachers to use this platform in the same way as their general education counterparts. |
2) Engaging with Platform - The HOW:

Share/Evaluate Resources | First, DPI consultants will vet and upload resources as well a present this platform in existing trainings to teachers. We may develop some structure around using the platforms (hubs and groups) to assist teachers as they use the platform. | |
Participate in Professional Learning locally or statewide | ||
Network and Collaborate with Other NC Educators | A vision here would be to create PLCs statewide which incorporate this platform into its structure. |
3) Engaging the Educators - The WHO:
#GoOpenNC has opportunities for all educators to being engaging. Consider who would be your main early engagers in the next 6 months.
