I am a SLMC and this is an easy resource to use to teach students about almanacs and indexes.
*Full integration of one or more information literacy strategies.
*Could easily incorporate collaboration between SLMC and teacher.
*Strengths: Obtains prior knowledge of what students know about almanacs. Students work in groups. Includes a game.
*Opportunities: Could be expanded to use before a research assignment for students, so they know how to use a resource such as almanacs or any item that may contain an index.

I'm a K-12 SLMC reviewing this resource: organized by task for easy implementation in the classroom. Full integration of one or more information literacy strategies with subject content. The lesson can easily be a collaboration between SLMC and teachers to implement the social studies standards. Strength: Using the Kahoot resource is a great way to infuse technology and engage learners. Students are provided the opportunity to reflect and share ideas throughout this lesson plan. Identifying keywords is an important task for successful research strategies.
