I am a first grade teacher and I love the idea of a thinking map to guide students with their learning.
I believe this definitely organizes information and ideas around a topic to plan and prepare to write as certain standards state and gives general prepared discussion questions.
Learning objective is clear and definition
I'm assuming the assessment is the end product but that may need to be clearer with a rubric.
Strengths- Thinking map is clear and can be used to organize information. Pre-made discussion questions are made.
Things to work on- A rubric to go with the thinking map. I would differentiate the discussion questions depending on whether it is teacher led or small groups.
