Overview

This lesson is for Grades 1 - 2 on literacy. This lesson plan, Words with Silent "e", is a video based lesson for grades 1-2 . Attached to this lesson is the YouTube video link to the video lesson and PDF files of the lesson plan and extension activities.

 

Learning Goals:

• Distinguish the difference between a consonant letter and a vowel letter.
• Determine whether a vowel has a short or long sound based on the silent ‘e’ at the end
of a word (CvCe).
• Sort words based on their vowel sound.
