I am a literacy facilitator in K-5 and appreciate lessons involving common themes as I think it helps solidify this tricky concept. Partial alignment by covering only the theme and not the summarizing part of standard and should be considered as part of a unit that would address the standard. Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. Has clear and sufficient assessment strategies that will accurately measure student progress and mastery of the specified standards (within the portion of the standard covered by the lesson). The resource is easy to understand and use, and
can be readily transferred to different educational environments and learning sequences with minimal modification or intervention by the instructor including embedded anchor charts for teacher reference.
