How can the microsite be improved?
Right now, I can only find 2 resources that relate to 5th grade math nc curriculum. When will more math resources be added?
Hi Lorie,
We are working on importing a batch of 32,000 resources right now. That should almost triple the amount of resources available. Hopefully we will have them on the site before the end of the month. Thanks!
Hello there!
I would suggest a HUB for areas like CTE and Global Education.
Absolutely Yanisha!
We are in discussion with several program areas now to see if they would like a hub.
Thanks,
Pam
I wish you could add the Essential Standards for Information and Technology and a section for media lessons (plagiarism, copyright, citing sources, paraphrasing, internet safety, etc).
Hey Marci,
Thanks for the suggestion. The ITES standards are currently being revised so that is why they are not on the microsite. The new standards will be loaded as soon as they are approved by SBE.
Thanks!
This would be amazing! I can't wait!
I only see main idea and details for 3rd grade or higher. Are any available for the lower grades? I have 1st graders getting questioned about main idea and details through the Reading 3D assessment. Other than that...I'm still exploring. Everything else seems good!
Hi Fitrah,
Only a small number of our resources are loaded right now. We are working on uploading an additional 30,000 resources by the end of the week. Hopefully you will see more resources that fit your needs. Thanks for giving us feedback!

I wish you could search by specific standard and grade level from the home page.
Hi Kristen,
You can search by standard and education level from the homepage:
Is something missing that you would like to search by?
Thanks,
Pam
I would like the search to be grade specific and standard specific. (For Example: 5th Grade Math 5.NBT.5)
Ahhh! Ok, so you can drill down from the search results page to specific standard:
I will see if we can add this to our homepage. Thank you for the feedback.
Since you have to search by lower and upper primary, it would be nice to have the recommended grade leveled in the inital desciption for the resource, so you don't have to click on the activity.
I, too, would like to see the main search have specific grade levels to choose from instead of grade ranges. I know that some activies could be used by a range of grade levels, but I'd rather see those activities tagged with multiplic grade levels so they come up in multiplie grade level searches. The less amount of clicks a teacher has to make to get to what they need, the better!
I agree. I wish that from the home page that you could put in the specific standard (3.NF.2) you were looking for versus the standard (NC Mathematics).
I wish I could search on Essential Standards to pinpoint resources that address my need.
Hi Ruth,
From the homepage, you can select a standard area:
You can also use the advance search function to search by standard + additional terms.
I hope this is helpful!

I wish the attribution, in correct format, was attached to each resource to help ensure all are following best practices of creative commons attributions. If contributors and creators not getting credit due for their work they will be less likely to contribute.
Hi Brita,
Attribution is a required part of the creation platform on #GoOpenNC and will be the subject of extensive professional development as we introduce #GoOpenNC.
There is a licensing section on the resource description for every resource in #GoOpenNC, do you have any specific feedback on this section?
Thanks,
Pam
The resources listed for 8th grade math standards are good, and they do fit with our curriculum. However, I wish the resources came from a larger variety of place other than EngageNY and the Mathematics Assessment Project. I realize more will be added in the future!
I am exploring the lessons related to area (specifically third grade/upper elementary). I have selected two links from CPALMS and two links from LearnNC, none of these links are active. How can we indicate (other than a low star rating) that the link no longer works?
Hi Julia,
There are a couple of options - for this group, we have created a folder for resources to review, you can save the resources to that folder and we will review them.
Another option is to use the green support tab on the page and let us know the link isn't working.
A third option is to comment on the resource, if you scroll to the bottom of the resource, you can make a comment.
Thanks!
Somehow I keep getting logged out. I am not sure if it is because I have been on for a while, but I've been steadily replying, and suddenly I can't, but nothing pops up to say I was logged out-- I just realized because the "request to join this group" was again at the top of the page.
I wish there was a form to indicate the why behind a star rating. This would allow others to see what you liked or disliked about a resource.
Hi Julia,
At the bottom of every resource, there is a comment box. You can certainly leave a comment describing your rating.
Thanks,
Pam
Under Resouce Type in the specific search area, I'd like to see the addition of Worksheets as a category. Not because I'd like to see more worksheets, but because right now several items under the "Activities" category contain only a worksheet. I don't see a worksheet as an activity.
I wonder if it would be possible for teachers to add modifications or suggestions for others to use after they have used a material.
Under the Materials Type, I wish the Games category had an option for web-based or printable versions.
I wish some of the activities were scaffolded for the EC teachers!! Especially when they are on grade level and we need to modify.
I also wish the site were a little easier to navigate sometimes!! It eventually works.
Once a resource site is determined to be reliable, I wish that the site could set up tabs (or something) where teachers could go to find plans, activities, etc., from that particular resource site. This could be useful when a teacher llikes the utility of a particular web site or blog, etc.
I wish the microsite offered more materials that were downloadable from the microsite and didn't necessarily take you to outside/additional links.
I wish I could go back and change or delete my rating on one of the resources I rated. I made a mistake, and when I went back, I could not fix it because I had already saved. I wonder if after teachers use a resource they might want to edit or change their rating.
I have no idea if this is possible or not, but it would be AMAZING if there was a way to sign up for updates as more resources were added for a specific standard. This way you would get an email saying that there was a new resource added for a standard you are searching for instead of having to check back every so often for that same standard.
