"Language Activities" Apply & Reflect
by Xatli Stox 2 years, 1 month agoApply & Reflect activity from the PD Booklet (Page 11), that focuses on the Language Activities Component. Now that you have explored the component, reflect on the following question:
How would the Language Activities component support learners as they use LF for themselves inside and outside the classroom?

The "Language Activities" component from LinguaFolio is a good way for students to start keeping track of how and when they practice the language they're learning. It lets them list the activities from the classroom or school that they enjoy (ex. presentations and projects, email exchanges, language clubs) and then branch out into things that they can do on their own (ex. view films, read magazines or newspapers). It's also got space for them to add their own ideas and do a little brainstorming, like finding memes in the language.
I love that students may include additional ideas and activities. A great strategy is to reflect on the language activities together as a class. These conversations may help students learn from each other's learning styles and identify activities they might not have considered before.
