Full alignment to depth and breadth of standard(s)/element(s) tagged
This resource is clearly aligned with content and /or standards. It is a well designed resource to assist mentors/coaches in serving beginning teachers.
Strengths: This document is a must have. As a new teacher (or anyone) to a school you need to know who is in charge of different areas, who to ask for different materials and who to go for when you need help. It is easily remixed and read and it is something we need to share with all new personnel.
Opportunities: Try to make it in to one page that could be hung up in teacher's classrooms before the start of school. I would take out the "hidden" rules section as it may not something you would want published.
I am the Mentor Coordinator at my school. This is a wonderful tool for mentors, lead teachers, principals, anyone who helps train new teachers at their school. It is aligned to the tagged standards and provides structure for introducing new teachers/school employees to the school. It also provides a very helpful list of questions that everyone should know but might not think to ask.
I am the Executive Director for Teacher Induction in my District. This information will be an excellent tool for lead mentors and principals when new teachers come to their schools.
