I really appreciated the use of manipulatives and the encouragement to preserver in the lesson. This lesson has partial alignment to dept and breadth of standard NC. MATH.K.G.1 and has partial alignment of standard NC.MATH.K.G.3. I can see that the lesson has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. The lesson also has a quick formative manner in accessing the mastery of the standards listed. The instructional purpose and alignment with the North Carolina curricular standards is explicitly stated or easily inferred, and students are engaged in an activity that promotes critical thinking, communication, and creativity.
