Students will learn to round two and three digit number to the nearest ten and understand the value and place value of a number. Students will then work in pairs and play a game to help them understand the concept of rounding.

In this lesson, students will problem solve and round the mileage for planning grade level fieldtrips. They will be able to determine distances for field trips to the location and back from the location with up to 400 miles.
