GEDB Australian Animal Research Project: Investigate the World (Lesson 3 of 4)
Students will create a presentation on the animal based on their research. This lesson was developed by Tina Deal as part of their completion of the North Carolina Global Educator Digital Badge program. This lesson plan has been vetted at the local and state level for standards alignment, Global Education focus, and content accuracy.

Learning Targets and Criteria for Success
I can share information from my research of an Australian animal.
I will create a presentation using Google slides using information from my research of an Australian animal.
I will include a heading on each slide, notes underneath in complete sentences with correct spelling and grammar.
Learning Tasks and Practice
Teacher will model creating a Google slides presentation using information from the nonfiction text read in lesson 1 and the information
gathered on the boxes and bullets chart.
Teacher will model creating the Google slide and adding slides to presentation.
Teacher will model adding headings and pictures to slides.
Students will create a Google slides presentation using information from their research on their Australian animal following the method
the teacher modeled above.
Students will include one slide for each of the areas on their research outline from lesson 1.
Students will cite specific details from text when explaining the text and making inferences in their presentation.
Students will include nonfiction text features on slides and will list these on a separate slide at the end of the presentation.
Teacher will model creating a bibliography slide showing where information originated.
Students will create a bibliography to cite their research sources.
