This resource is easy to understand and use for teachers and targeted learners. In addition, there is a student product to help guage learning. It would be a wonderful addition to a unit that works on these standards.

Partial alignment to W.4.5 by covering only the research and writing aspect of the standard and should be considered as part of a unit that would address the standard; not aligned to RL.4.9, specifically the section about comparing and contrasting the use of similar themes and patterns of events; partially aligned to RL.4.2 by covering the determination of a theme of a story (not the summarizing) and should be considered as part of a unit that would address the standard.

Additional learning objectives need to be added in order to align to the content/completely address the content.

Has some assessment strategies that will measure student progress of the specified standards, but needs additional formative strategies.
