Motivation: Strong (2)

Student motivation and engagement to this task would be positively impacted with the addition of technological resources such as interactive web resources and activities such as those provided/modeled in Quizlet, storylineonline.com

Accessibility: Strong (2)

This resource does not provide an investment in technology, so it may not be applicable. However, if technology is needed, students with limited understanding can partner with those students who are more technologically informed so they may successfully access the content.

Purpose: Strong (2)

There is not much in the way of technology to be utilized. The remix of the graphic organizer encourages students to find the country from where the story originates on google maps.
This would be helpful in addressing the 3rd grade Essential Social Studies Standards related to geographic regions and locations.

Appropriateness: Strong (2)

Concepts are developmentally appropriate for the age group for which it was constructed. However, there is a definite need for instructors to create a list of vocabulary words prior to completing the graphic organizer so students can successfully access and retain the content presented.

I like this resource and I am planning on using it with my students. Thank you for allowing remixing, because I will do, so I can add some ideas and translate it to Spanish (for my immersion class).
It is appropriately label as "cultural" and a very clever and easy way to introduce young students on the discussion of culture as "ways of living" and how they are different, but not good or bad.
Great work!
