Water Quality Unit

(View Complete Item Description)

This water quality unit was written to accompany the novel, "Flush," by Carl Hiaasen. I have used it with gifted 5th graders, but the activities best align to 8th grade Science NC Standards. Students do not have to read the novel in order to complete the unity. The activities are hands on. It may take a few days to gather materials, so plan ahead before beginning. There are some activities that are linked to websites, but are free and for public use.
