1: A singleton teacher

Using the strengths, what can they offer to #GoOpenNC?

Thinking about Possible Needs, What can they take from #GoOpenNC?

A singleton teacher can use #GoOpen to share ideas/strengths with other teachers and can particpate in a discussion board about those strengths.

A singleton teacher needs a community of peers.  He/she needs a place to receive a feedback from other educators about plans and resources.  A place to ask for help or to seek ideas is also needed!

These are great opportunities for a singleton teacher.  I love the ability to communicate with my peers across the state!

I think this is a great platform/opportunity for singleton teachers to share their ideas! They can bounce ideas off of each other and feel like they are contributing to their content across the state.

A singleton teacher can benefit from #GoOpen to share their ideas, and then I love the fact that there are follow up emails of those folks that modify the original teacher's plan.   The singleton teacher can get new fresh ideas on the original plan they submitted eventhough there is noone physcically at their location to share/collaborate with.

Singletons have great ideas, lessons, and resources that they have had to build and locate themselves but they lack someone to collaborate with.  Time could be saved having one place to pull aligned resources from and singletons would have a way to discuss and share ideas.

These teachers can offer her resources and lesson plans to the platform.  The best take away from the platorm for teachers like this is to find centrally located resources aligned to their subject-area NC Standards.

This is a great resource for teacher to take and share resources to improve their instruction since this these items are aligned to current standards.

The singleton teacher can get ideas for resources that are aligned to the standards, can also network with others even though it would be web based.

SIngleton teachers, due to the fact, that they have been used to creating and/or finding their own resources, would have many opportunities to share with others. They may be a little reluctant, at first, but once they start contributing, they would probably feel more comfortable in the future. They would benefit from the platform by seeing what other teachers have been doing. This will likely be eye-opening to them due to their singelton status.

Singleton Teachers...in addition to the comments left by others in this discussion, singleton teachers will find what they need here in terms of support and constructive criticism on what they share. We all need the support of each other and this is a good place to find it because we are all outside of the box thinkers but we are so widely spread.

I like the idea of bouncing ideas off of each other here---many times we are talking to peers and find our ideas bouncing off a wall of complacency. Nothing changes. I am excited about GoOpenNC--it is reminiscent for a platform I once used at an elementary school that had our experienced teachers uploading lesson plans/units and our teachers could search by SCOS for each grade level. It was fantastic and I hope that is what we can all contribute and take away from this platform: We are no longer singletons--we have each other!

I love the potential for singleton teachers to no longer feel isolated because they can connect with others across the state to share ideas and resources as well as build capacity within their content areas.

Yes, I like the way it allows for community building and sharing of resources that otherwise would not have been shared.

Being a singleton teacher can be challenging.  #GoOpenNC provides singletons a space to share their lessons and resources with others, as well as find resources that are aligned to NC standards.  In addition, having the opportunity to join a community of educators in the same field for the purpose of collaborating and sharing ideas can be powerful for the professional growth of the singleton teacher.
