#GoOpenNC could be a great way to fill in gaps and/or needs that arise for the district!

For the content areas without a guided/scripted curricula - having a place to find vetted information/resources is super important.  Finding standards aligned materials that have been reviewed takes some of the stress away.

I agree with Rebecca.  Teachers will have a place to find standards aligned materials that have been reviewed and rated by other educators.  They can collaborate with other educators in the state.

#GoOpenNC could be used to supplement the lesson, use for interventions or extending the lesson.  Many times there are gaps in those guided or scripted curricula, #GoOpenNC could be used to help fill in the gaps.

#GoOpenNC can offer teachers an opportunity to customize the scripted curriculum.  Maybe the coaches or curriculum leaders can note places where the guided curriculum does not provide the best resources or alignment to standards and let teachers know of those standards.  Then, they could come to this site and search for opportunities for them to fill those gaps.

We just adopted several new online resources for our district.  Some of them have standards that they don't cover completely.  GoOpenNC could provide resources, lessons, etc that would be fill in those gaps.

The difficulty for us will be the balance between providing the teachers some options and also encourage them to use the resources that we adopted.  We purchased them because we thought they were quality and want them to use them.
