In this short unit, students are introduced to the three forms of matter by using their observation skills and recording properties of various common examples of matter. Students will work in pairs and small groups to observe, discuss, and record properties of solids, liquids, and gases. A poem about matter and a diagram of solid, liquid, and gas are included with the lesson.
