About me

I am currently a middle and upper school instrumental music teacher at Eno River Academy in Orange County, NC. I have a passion for developing my understanding of culturally relevant teaching, and infusing that knowledge within my teaching classroom and beyond. I am currently part of the Culturally Relevant Teaching Hub Academy in this platform.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a Master's of Music Education from Boston University in Boston, MA.

I have studied Italian, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, German and French, and hope to become a polyglot in my spare time :)! I have always held a fascination with cultures outside my own and the way they express themselves, especially through language and the arts.

I have a wonderful husband, and four beautiful children. I also have the privilege of spending my days with two very loving dogs, Gypsy and Chewie, who are quite happy about the current Covid-19 situation.
