About me
I am interested in a wide-variety of material and I see myself as a lifelong learner having earned two Master's Degrees (Education and Philosophy), a Doctoral Degree (French), and a Post-Master's Certificate in Public School Administration. I am guided by my own intellectual curiosity. I have taught pre-K through university in rural and urban areas in the Eastern U.S. and overseas. I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Burkina Faso, West Africa. My doctoral thesis focused on African and Caribbean Francophone literature and human rights in the French-speaking world, with an emphasis on International Issues and Migration. Now I teach 3rd through 5th grade ESL and I'm a Board member and acting Secretary for True Ridge, a local non-profit providing culturally and linguistically relevant services for families and individuals less-served in our community.
