2 L. 1.2 Compare life cycles of different animals such as, but not limited to, mealworms, ladybugs, crickets, guppies or frogs.

Students will investigate the life cycles of different species and compare similarities and differences.

Life cycles of Frogs, Dragonflies, and Butterflies

After completing the Life Cycles of Frogs, Dragonflies, and Butterflies activities (or as a replacement for step 2, Life Stages Cards) students will use Google Slides (or PowerPoint) to create a life cycle diagram for a frog,  butterfly,  dragonfly,  meal worm, ladybug, cricket, or guppy.  Students may work independently or with a partner, at the teacher's discretion.  Students should use images labeled for noncommercial reuse.  A Butterfly Life Cycle example is provided below.   Templates with text of the life cycle(s) can be shared with students to aid with spelling as students  search for images .  A PowerPoint Template is provide.  This template can be used in PowerPoint or uploaded to Google Slides and modified for student use with a variety of life cycles.
