Learning about art history can be like viewing a time capsule of the past. As students explore different time periods, especially ancient Egypt or other civilizations with pyramids, this small project may be especially meaningful. Creating a Personal Time Capsule Pyramid can be a wonderful addition to a larger, broader lesson.

This diagram shows suggestions for the areas of the inside of the pyramid. Students will write, draw, or collage in these areas.

This pattern can be transferred to cardstock. By rotating the shape, a student can draw the template for their Personal Time Capsule Pyramid, including the tabs to use for gluing.
