In this unit, students will learn how to categorize forces based upon whether or not their presence is capable of changing an object's total mechanical energy. Students will also learn that there are certain types of forces, that when present and when involved in doing work on objects will change the total mechanical energy of the object. Lessons in this unit include: Internal vs. External forces; Analysis of Situations In Which Mechanical Energy is Conserved; and Bar Chart Illustrations. This unit includes videos, animations, and mini quizzes to check for understanding and facilitate learning.
