    Breakout!-Remix

    Overview

    This activity is designed as a project-based learning activity. It allows students to collaborate, requires them to comprehend what they have read and engages them in critical thinking. This activity can be adjusted to fit the needs and grade levels of your students.

    Black Panther Lock

    • Your teacher will print out a picture of a character, setting or theme related to the story. . Written on the back will be: “Return to teacher.”

    • The picture will be cut it into approximately 10-12 squares.

    • All pieces will be placed all in a Ziploc baggie. 

    • Once you successfully assemble the picture puzzle, you will receive the key to the lock.

    Spiderman Lock

    ​​​​​Assign one letter from each name. The combination can be whichever letters you want to answer.

    •  Name characters from the story (each beginning letter will be the code for this lock)

     

     

    Hulk Lock

    Students must describe the beginning, middle, end of the story. Each section is worth a code chosen by teacher.

    Ironman Lock

    You will align the event with the corresponding page. Page numbers will be code for this lock!

    • For example "What page did Pete change his shoes blue? (p.5)

    •  

    Wonder woman Lock

    • Settings from the book will be put up around the room with arrows on them pointing either up, down, left or write. 

    • The combination is which ever arrows your teacher has put on the settings.
