*I am a 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade math teacher. I really enjoyed that this resource is designed to help students understand equivalent fractions using gameplay.
*This lesson has partial alignment to standards NC.4.NF.1 and NC.4.NF.2 by covering only the “explain why a fraction is equivalent to another fraction and compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators” parts of the standards and should be considered as part of a unit that would address the standard. It is suggested that these games be used to practice or reinforce skills.
* This resource has clearly stated student outcomes and includes “questions to pose” to assess student understanding.
*This resource includes clear assessment strategies that will accurately measure student mastery of the specified standards but needs additional summative strategies.
*This resource is focused and engaging.
*This resource would benefit from suggestions for additional games to play.
