As a fifth grade teacher, I appreciate the math language being included into the lesson plan. It truly helps focus on using the best terminology to help build understanding.
-Full alignment to depth and breadth of standard(s) tagged.
-Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource
-Has clear assessment strategies that will accurately measure (student progress or mastery) of the specified standards, but needs additional (formative or summative) strategies

Strengths: This resource has great quality questions to ask students through the engagement portion of the lesson. The inclusion of the vocabulary math language, the visual models make it accessible to all students. The materials are simple to have available to all students. The representations of graphs around the room show student work based on student driven questions/research on how to get to know their classmates. This would be a great beginning of the year activity as it builds on 3rd grade learning.

Opportunities: Formal Evaluation/Exit Ticket has great depth of analysis and connections of student work to their objectives of the lesson. The reflection of the work is a nice added benefit.
