Students will learn how to interpret long, complex texts and compare literary writing styles by listening to and reading a collection of short stories from the book "Album." This resource features MP3 (.mp3) audio files, which can be played by the students by clicking on the links.
Students will test their vocabulary and reading comprehension while listening and learning about the childhood activities of four very different people. Students will be able to practice and asses their knowledge of the preterite and past tense in Spanish. Students will be able to track their progress by pausing each one of the four videos and take the quiz provided.
This resource would probably be most helpful to use during literacy centers or independent work time. Students can listen to the 'playlist' of books on an iPad and then respond to questions about one of the stories.
Students will understand spoken French about current events. They will listen to a short broadcast of the news in slow French. Each week there is one free broadcast which includes a transcript in which students can mouse over parts of the text to see English translations.
