Students will be able to: identify specific regions and countries where there was a significant struggle to incorporate Communism and apply their knowledge of the spread of Communism to better understand the current political spread. Students will be awakened to the greater global dimensions of the Cold war, and how it has shaped our world today.When people think of the Cold War they tend to think of Russia and the United states. Yet, some of the greatest effects and areas of fighting was among the Third world nations.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of Coulomb's law and the way it governs the interaction between charged particles, by effectively describing these ideas using words and sketches.
In this unit, students will explore their neighboring surroundings while learning about the natural resources that are available in their own backyard, as well as positive contributions they can make to minimize negative change in the environment. Furthermore, students will utilize technological resources to broaden their understanding on environmental changes, as well as human and animal adaptation. Additionally, they will gain knowledge through different literature resources during independent and shared reading.
Students will investigate parallel and series circuits and be able to determine total resistance, initial current and voltage.
In this lesson, students investigate the Nullification crisis through reading, analysis, and debate. Students will then work collaboratively to express their views on the tariff by creating an article of propaganda.
