ART PRODUCTION
- Working in a group, students will draw a circle or line, then move to the right and repeat the process until all information is drawn:
- Draw 1 large circle
- Draw 2 medium circles
- Draw 3 small circles
- Put your pencil on the side of a circle, draw a vertical line.
- Working with the same directions, paint a circle then move to the right and repeat the process until all information is painted:
- Draw 1 large circle
- Draw 2 medium circles
- Draw 3 small circles
- Put your pencil on the side of a circle, then draw a vertical line.
- Art show and scavenger hunt with sentence starters.
STUDENT ASSSESSMENT: Did the student successfully complete the project?
Did the student participate in art exhibit and write artist statement?
REFLECTIONS & MODIFICATIONS:
Needed to simplify! First day read book and trace 1 large circle, 2 medium size circles, 3 small circles and add vertical lines. The vertical lines turn circles into musical notes. Second day paint circles using colors in rainbow order. Students again rotate. Will not add pattern, to much for Kindergarten to complete as whole class.
Art Show with parents scheduled for April 2nd at 6:30 before PTF. Will use sentence stems for artist statement/scavenger hunt. Provide English and Spanish version of worksheet. Will award prize to one student who participated in artist statement/scavenger hunt in each class. Cancelled due to Covid 19 2020. Will begin next school year with art show.
