I love math activities that involve movement! As a certified PE teacher who now teaches in the classroom, I am always looking for ways to integrate physical activity with math.
Full alignment to depth and breadth of standards tagged. Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. Has clear assessment strategies that will accurately measure (student progress or mastery) of the specified standards.
Strengths: This lesson is perfect for kinesthetic learners and will get students moving during math. Not only does this lesson encourage collaboration, but students must communicate to identify a strategy and explain their thinking.
Opportunities: Maybe consider alternate exercises since push ups are difficult for many children. You may not get a wide variety of two digit numbers.

* I am second grade teacher and this lesson is amazing to use in the classroom.* This lesson has full alignment for the standards NC.M.2.OA.1. This standard is so very important to second grade learning. *This lesson has clear learning objectives and this would be amazing to use for student rigor as well as knowledge. *This lesson is also a great way to promote collaboration within groups. *This lesson/resource has some ways for assessment but could be more clearly defined. *This resource may want to examine additional technology examples that would allow whole class responses to discussion question
