NC.Math.3.OA.1: Very Weak (0)

This resource is for teachers but it is unclear how the resource is at all aligned with the standard stated on the resource, which could lead to confusion when teachers are searching for resources.

Accuracy: Strong (2)

This resource has wording that is biased towards thinking that students don't like math. Some wording needs revision to take into account that many kids like math.

Adequacy: Strong (2)

It would be helpful to have examples of questions/surveys attached that are appropriate to the beginning of the year.

Appropriateness: Strong (2)

The resource is appropriate for the target audience, but the audience needs to be reminded that students may need scaffolding assistance to know what a sum is, for instance, or for reading survey questions.

Purpose: Limited (1)

The embedded video link doesn't work and the resource is given in powerpoint, which many schools don't have access to, or don't have this version.

Clarity: Strong (2)

Slides are clear and easy to read with appropriate pictures. Presenter's notes are helpful.

Usability: Strong (2)

This resource would definitely need tailoring for individual school/classroom needs and more guidance on that tailoring would be helpful.
