*I am a fifth grade teacher and have taught third grade in the past. I appreciated that it was a student-centered introduction. I really enjoyed that this resource gave lots of suggestions to help students get started and for clarifying misconceptions. * Partial alignment by covering only the first and last parts of standard and should be considered as part of a unit that would address the whole standard (however, this is fine, as this is the introduction lesson). * Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. *Has clear and sufficient assessment strategies that will accurately measure student progress and mastery of the specified standard. * This resource has high student engagement and the design of the lesson is motivating for students. *The task could include an extension activity that is cross-curricular and allows students to identify fields of study or jobs were mathematical data might be collected.
