Students will listen to Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle and use color vocabulary to help them recall the story. They will be able to complete a sentence frame using color vocabulary to show their comprehension of the book.

A good resources for elementary ESL students as well as low level students in higher grades. It does a good job of incorporating different activities to keep students engaged. I could see adding some more technology activities with this lesson for older students.

I am an ESL teacher and I love to share with Kindergarten and First grade teachers. Full alignment to depth and breadth of standard NCES.ELD.LOLA.1.2. Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. Has clear and sufficient assessment strategies that will accurately measure student progress and mastery of the specified standards. I like the informal assessment options for this younger age and I like the book creation at the end. A more formal assessment may be an opportunity for the future.
