I am an ESL teacher and I really appreciate this activity for my younger EL learners. Full alignment to depth and breadth of standard NC. ELA. RL. 1.2 and partial alignment with others. Has clear learning objectives that are achievable through completion of this resource. Has some assessment strategies that will measure student progress of the specified standards, but needs additional summative strategies.The content is highly engaging and relevant to the interests first graders this age have. A summative strategy that shows color mastery may be an opportunity for the future.
