In this lesson, students will program a “micro bit” in order to practice their 0-20 facts.

This lesson plan can also be implemented with i 1-digit addition, counting, number line addition and subtraction and mental math.

This lesson can also be used for math intervention strategies.

It is recommended that the teacher is familiar with the micro bit and has done this guided practice at least once.

A logical progression of strategy instruction that can be used to help students become fluent with the facts is one more and two more than facts, facts with zero, doubles facts, and doubles plus one facts.
