In particular, students reflect on their writing process, dissect the End of Unit 2 Assessment Essay Prompt, and analyze the Model Essay: Telling the Truth about Slavery.

In this lesson, students continue to prepare for the End of Unit 2 Assessment. Today, they plan their essays using the Frederick Douglass Essay Planner and review the Quote Sandwich (a writing tool they learned in Module 2).

In this lesson, students start their End of Unit 2 Assessment. Before they begin writing, they will re- familiarize themselves with the rubric and use it to assess the Model Essay: “Telling the Truth about Slavery.”
