This source provides a two day lesson plan that focuses on reinforcing themes, retelling a sequence of events, comparing/contrasting stories that are told in different cultures. It can be used more than one day easily by changing the assigned fairy tale of focus. The extension activity gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and application of story elements and standards taught.

Students will learn how to compare and order decimals.  They will have opportunities to use the <, >, and = symbols to correctly compare decimals, read comparison statements, and then apply that information to ordering decimals from least to greatest and vice versa.

This resource provides a lesson plan over 2-4 class periods for your students to learn what volume is and how they find volume of rectangular prisms through building off of what they already know about area. They will learn not only what volume represents but also how to solve it using a formula and then be able to teach all of this back to us through their creation of a powerpoint presentation, a story book, or a comic strip.
